Dutch Sports Infrastructure
With no new stadium being opened between 1980s and 2002, Turkey had a lot of catching up to do in terms of sports infrastructure. TOKI, the governmental agency for housing and the Turkish Ministry of Youth and Sports are developing stadiums all over the country. Turkey has a total of 150 stadiums, last year 11 stadiums were tendered and about 30 stadiums are currently under construction or being renovated. Also the ministry is investing in small-scale sports facilities at schools. During the Holland Turkish Business forum Dutch Sports Infrastructure organizes a breakout session to exchange information and discuss opportunities for suppliers of stadiums and sports facilities.
